Beginner Adult Belly Dance Choreography Class 4-weeks Sunday May 25, June 1, 8 & 15 Time 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm Location: DanceCo in St. Albert, 9030 McKenney Ave, St. Albert, AB T8N 2T7 Come learn a Beginner Belly Dance Choreography for fun and exercise! No experience required. Experience Level: This class is for individuals ages 16+ with no belly dance experience or who have only taken one or two beginner classes. Course Description: During each 1-hour class you will learn different moves and techniques of Egyptian belly dance and how they flow together in a choreography. Learning a choreography allows you to see how the moves flow into the next and also gives you a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. Belly dance improves your balance, flexibility, coordination, confidence, mental health and tones and strengthens muscles in your arms, shoulders, back, stomach, hips and legs. You do not need to memorize the choreography. Each week you follow me. There is NO dance recital. This 4-week session is designed for you to have fun learning this ancient art form and to get some low-impact exercise. What to wear: Comfortable exercise clothes. You do not need to show your belly. Traditionally belly dance is done barefoot but you can wear socks, a ballet slipper, soft jazz shoes or purchase some of the Belly Dance Footies I have for sale on my website in beige or black. You can get plain belly dance footies or fancy, fun beaded belly dance footies! WhatsApp: This app is the easiest way for me to share a video of the choreography with you so you can practice during the week (if you like, you don't have too). Download the app and send me an email at Laura@bellydancebeats.ca with the contact name and phone number you'd like me to add to the WhatsApp group for this class. Instructor: Laura Beauchamp
